With the South African Under 23 side under pressure to qualify for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, ex-Orlando Pirates 'keeper Deshi Bhaktawer is confident that he can help improve the goalkeepers in the squad.

“With the experience I have gathered over the years in the field and as well as a coach, I am confident that I will do well with the goalkeepers.

I was recently in England and the amount of knowledge that I gathered there was massive,” said Bhaktawer.

Bhaktewar said he also hopes to bring the knowledge he got in India as goalkeeper coach at Atletico Madrid’s Indian Super League side, Atletico de Kolkata.

“I think for me it has been about learning.

The goalkeeping has changed a lot and that is why it is important to keep track of how things are done and not only rely on the experience I have as a former player,” he said.
